Read Me First
This is an update to Outlook Express which resolves an issue with file attachments. Downloading this update will prevent possible unauthorized access to your computer.

When you open a message that contains an attachment with an extremely long name, Outlook Express could terminate unexpectedly. It is difficult but possible for a skilled hacker to cause malicious code to run on your computer as a result of this problem.

Note: This updated patch addresses a variant of the File Attachment issue that was discovered after the initial fix was made available on July 27. Microsoft strongly recommends that all affected customers-including those who downloaded the original patch-now download the updated patch.

There have not been any reports of customers being affected by this problem.
